What are Grab Lorries?

Firstly, what exactly are grab lorries? Well, think of these a little like giant hybrids between a skip and a truck. They have an arm that does all the hard work, meaning you don’t have to. The material types grab lorries work best for include: muck, hardcore, mixed general waste, green waste, wood and more.

Why is grab lorry hire suitable for you?

Crucially, these lorries are large, meaning there’s huge capacity in them for however much waste you have. Each one in our range can hold the equivalent of two 8yd skips (16 tonnes).

Additionally, the ‘grab’ aspect of the lorries saves time and energy by avoiding multiple trips to a skip with a wheelbarrow for example, with the arm doing the back and forth for you. By delivering a faster process, waste removal, site clearances, construction projects, etc. can be completed more quickly and more efficiently, bringing the next stage of your plan closer.

The lorry needs to be able to access the waste or deliver the material from either side of the vehicle. It cannot unload from the rear.

The grab lorry can get to more difficult places and spaces due to the arm and grab buckets ability to reach out over fences and obstacles.
